Barney is the sheepdog on Fenny Penny's organic turkey farm in Norfolk.
He keeps a lookout on everything that happens in and around the farm.
When Ossie the ostrich hatches even Barney is surprised that a turkey can be so big, but he takes a liking to the funny newcomer.
He teaches Ossie about the bees that make honey and the peas that grow on the farm. He tries his best to keep him out of trouble.
But there is only so much a sheepdog can do when Ossie is determined to learn by his mistakes...
