The Summer Of Love

In 1967 the Ashbury-Haight area of San Francisco hosted a group of young people committed to 'Peace, Love and Understanding.' By gradual osmosis the ideals of this movement was filtered via music festivals throughout the entire civilised world.

And later still to Essex.

For a 14 year old schoolboy 'Understanding' was too difficult a concept and 'Peace' was a given. This left 'Love' and apparently it was free.

Which was great in principle but you still had to find a supplier.

But if appearances were anything to go by, Ben was sure he'd identified an abundant source...
